JASON BLACHOWICZ Announces New DIVINE EMPIRE Lineup
July 17, 2005DIVINE EMPIRE bassist/vocalist Jason Blachowicz (ex-MALEVOLENT CREATION) has announced the addition of Marco Martell (guitar),David Kinkade (drums) (both from Chicago) and Frank Cusimano (guitar; from Pennsylvania) to the group's ranks. "All three guys have flown in this past weekend for the try out and rehearsed successfully!" reads a posting on the group's web site. "The EMPIRE's sound is much fuller now consisting of two gutarists, both of whom are very talented lead players, and a very talented drummer with incredibly fast feet!"
Commented Jason: "I'm very fortunate to have come across these guys. We went out and partied the first night with my friends and we got along great and had a blast. Marco, David and Frank are great guys with very positive attitudes. We rehearsed the next day and I'm very impressed with the chemistry we have and their abilities to play the songs. They actually pulled off 'Storm of Hatred' solos and all! The band sounds so much more fuller than this band has ever sounded, I'm fucking amazed! I welcome the new 'storm of hatred!' Welcome to the 'new' DIVINE EMPIRE!!"
DIVINE EMPIRE's latest CD, "Method of Execution", was released in April via Century Media Records. Produced once again by Jeremy Staska (MALEVOLENT CREATION, HATEPLOW, REMEMBERING NEVER, NONPOINT, POISON THE WELL),"Method of Execution" sees the band moving away from their straight-ahead death metal origins "to include a variety of influences, helping distance them from their MALEVOLENT CREATION brethren," according to a press release. "Stronger melodies, catchier song structures and hints of classical, doom, black, and even classic rock all rear their ugly heads."
